Ethairwave is Albentia Systems cost-effective point-to-point solution especially designed for LAN bridging and IP radio links in the license-exempt 5.4/5.8 GHz bands and 3.5 GHz licensed band.
Based on the IEEE 802.16-2009 (WiMAX) standard, Ethairwave brings the powerful advantages of WiMAX technology to point-to-point systems. Ethairwave makes use of OFDM modulation and a highly efficient MAC layer to provide excellent performance in the worst case scenarios. Thanks to the use of a deterministic frame-based MAC layer, Ethairwave is able to guarantee a constant and highly stable throughput for critical applications like VoIP and video transmission, providing a net aggregated Ethernet throughput above 30 Mbps.
The system is based on a compact weather-proof outdoor unit connected to a standard 802.3af indoor supply injector (PoE) for easy installation.
