IP Wireless Backhaul > ALB-400: Point-to-Multipoint IP backhauling solution
ALB-400 is Albentia Systems carrier-class solution for Point-to-Multipoint IP backhauling networks. A single ALB-400 Base Station provides up to 35 Mbps Ethernet aggregated throughput to several ALB-200 Stations operating in slave mode.
Each Base Station implements powerful traffic control mechanisms to provide the specific throughput to each remote station with independent QoS control. This QoS control is performed at the MAC layer level in order to guarantee the required traffic to each station and service.
ALB-400 makes use of OFDM modulation for transmission in NLOS scenarios and implements a highly-efficient contention-free frame-based MAC layer to guarantee the required throughput to each remote station with constant throughput and low latency.
ALB-400 is available for the license-exempt 5.4 and 5.8 GHz bands (ALB-456 and ALB-458) and for may other frequencies ranging from 2 to 6 GHz.
